The CRRC High and Low Voltage Power Device Industrialization project (Phase-1) reached a significant milestone on December 30th as the FAB building in the Yixing Economic Development Zone was successfully completed. This project, with a total investment of 5.9 billion yuan and a construction area of 120,000 square meters, signifies a major step forward. The topping-out ceremony was attended by over 100 representatives from the project construction, management, supervision, and survey units, among other involved parties.

In his speech, Niu Jie, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd, expressed that the event is not only a topping-out ceremony but also a realization of expectations. It is a result of the joint efforts of the Yixing Municipal Government and CRRC to fulfill their shared commitments. The completion of the main project marks a solid step towards overcoming challenges, supported by the concerns and involvement of government at various levels, construction units, supervision units, EPCM management units, and the entire project team. Niu Jie hopes that all units will continue to maintain a diligent and responsible work style, striving to make the project a flagship, exemplary, and leading example of practical cooperation between the central and local governments, in order to create a premium product of CRRC.

Kuang Huashan, the Commander-in-chief of the CRRC Yixing project, provided an update on the project's construction progress. He mentioned that due to the tight timeframe, heavy workload, and difficulties in coordinating resources from different locations, all construction units have worked day and night, advancing the project construction with high quality and efficiency. They have achieved the target of completing the topping-out of the main building by December 2023, setting a new benchmark in the construction of semiconductor facilities. On behalf of the project team, Kuang promised to maintain a high level of planning, efficiency, and quality in carrying out the internal decoration, equipment installation, and trial operation, ensuring the full-scale production by the end of 2024.

Representing the project service provider, Xia Dayan, Executive Deputy Director of the East China Subsidiary of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, expressed that the company will always adhere to the concept of "lean construction and flawless fulfillment," continuously leveraging its management and technical advantages. They are committed to fulfilling their responsibilities as a general contractor, implementing strict management and meticulous construction, and ensuring high-quality and efficient progress of the project, so as to deliver satisfactory results to the client and all walks of life.

The project is characterized by a large investment and high technological content. It is expected to significantly promote the extension of the integrated circuit industry chain, enhancement of the value chain, and integration of the supply chain in Yixing City. This project will play a vital role in the transformation of Yixing's industrial structure and the development of Wuxi's highly advanced and robust landmark industry. Currently, the project is progressing in an orderly and manageable manner. Once in operation, it will have an annual production capacity of 360,000 pieces of low and medium voltage component substrates.
